My age lets me remember Frankie Laine on the radio. Most of his 78's I had as a kid are still with me. I have transferred them to a CD just to save the performaces. What I find lacking in the recent CD is the immediacy of the originals. CD's do tend to block out the natural ambience of recordings/5(2).
